Our December Jive Party is all set to be better than ever because not only is Laura B back with her fabulous band, but she’s invited special guests!

Joining Laura on-stage for a blistering night of good time, jive, swing and R&B will be Ian Gillon Jr (a hot Jive Party favourite already as leader of his own band Juke Joint Jump) and Jackson Sloane (lead singer with The Rhythmtones and also no stranger to The Rivoli). Jackson and Laura put on a spectacular show together at the Twinwood Festival 2021. If you were there you won’t want to miss!

You’d have to be comatose not to enjoy this line-up with some of the very best musicians in the country recreating that authentic 50’s sound. Couple that with  the iconic chandeliered, totally unique Rivoli Ballroom, for a perfect run-up to your festive celebrations.

The night kicks off with a jive class aimed at beginners (8:30pm-9pm).

Our admission price is slighly higher this month, to cover the costs of extra musicans and the reduced number of tickets on sale due to COVID.

Cancellations: If the event cannot go ahead as planned, we will re-allocate your tickets to a future Jive Party event. If you are not happy with that you can let us know and we will refund you the cost of your ticket.

COVID-19: Your ticket purchase is subject to acceptance and compliance with any government rules or recommendations that may apply on the date of the event. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, been told to self-isolate or believe you may have been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19 then please do not attend. Contact us beforehand and we can move your ticket to another date.

Jay Gipson’s fabulous band JG & The Ultimates were due to play Jive Party in May 2020 – then COVID struck! We’re thrilled to be able to welcome them back a mere 18 months later on November 20th 2021.

All being well, we will be kicking Jive Party back into life on September 18th 2021 and the first band to be back on the Rivoli stage is local band Peachy Beat.

Peachy Beat came about through a shared love of Rock ‘n’ Roll – the band lives and breathes the music of the 1950s and 60s, between them having performed in many No. 1 National shows including Dreamboats & Petticoats, Cilla The Musical and Roll Over Beethoven. Their repertoire features the biggest hits of an era that knew how to party, from the classic Rock ’n’Roll of Elvis and Little Richard to the unforgettable sound of The Everly Brothers, Motown’s finest and much more. Their female lead vocalist doubles on tenor sax and with their signature three part harmonies, Peachy Beat recreate that timeless jiving groove that is guaranteed to keep you on the dance floor.

So come along to the iconic chandeliered, totally unique Rivoli Ballroom, soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the music, and dance the night away.
